Blending the tenacity and beauty of nature into home decor, the seats draw inspiration from the unique shape of the oyster mushroom. They showcase vitality with a touch of natural humor. Inspired by the curves of natural stone, the design minimizes excessive attraction while enhancing the seat's aesthetics. Beyond its functional use for placing items, the seat doubles as a charming flower vessel, transforming it into a home artwork that harmoniously fuses nature and art.
Coming from a humid and stuffy country like Taiwan, where high humidity is prevalent, it is common to encounter moldy furniture and other related conditions. The furniture often changes its function and performance due to the environment. This prompted me to think about how to represent such a situation in furniture design and explore the interesting interactions that occur. Mushrooms emerging from furniture symbolize this coexistence with the environment, offering unexpected functionality and a unique aesthetic.
